About Perkiomen Creek

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented in over 30 countries!   As an organization, Pony Club has a rich history of teaching horsemanship,  responsibility,  generosity,  leadership,  and volunteerism.

Perkiomen Creek Pony Club is part of the Eastern Pennsylvania Pony Club region and is primarily located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.   The club is open to riders of all ages and skill levels.  We welcome new members throughout the year-- please feel free to reach out to us via the contact info section for more details!

Throughout the year,  Perkiomen Creek offers both unmounted and mounted activities and instruction.  Members also have the opportunity to participate in Eastern PA Pony Club sanctioned rallies (competitions),  as well as regional camps and clinics.   During "unmounted" meetings, members learn about multiple areas of horse management, including feeding,  shoeing,  veterinary care,  conformation, conditioning, and other areas of horse knowledge.  Under adult supervision, more experienced members have the opportunity to instruct and assist younger members.

Mounted meetings include the rallies (competitions), as well as Pony Club sponsored camps,  clinics, and lessons.   Mounted programs are offered across multiple disciplines, including show jumping, equitation, mounted games, dressage, eventing, tetrathlon, and foxhunting.  Member also receive certifications as their riding skills and horsemanship knowledge grow and develop.

Pony Club also recognizes the high cost of equestrian activities, and each club develops fundraising efforts to help support the equestrian pursuits of its members.  Perkiomen Creek currently has several annual fundraising activities, including organizing and managing a mounted games competition during the summer, as well as offering pony rides at regional children's events and parties.   Members are strongly encouraged to help with these fundraising efforts to help make them successful.  Profits earned from these events are channeled back to the members to help support them in competitions, camps, and lessons.

USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration. Perkiomen Creek Pony Club is part of the Eastern Pennsylvania Region. Visit the region's website for the contact information for the Regional Officers.
